Technician Assistance

Emergencey Assistance
If you require immediate assistance during your class/event, please call the emergency classroom support number at 215-898-2575, also posted on the wall phone in each classroom. This number is answered between the hours of 8:30am and 5:30pm. Please be aware that some problems such as a building network outage are beyond our control, though we will call the responsible parties immediately. Our operations technicians' first priority is to the support of the academic classes, but you can still call the emergency classroom support number should the need arise for emergency assistance for your special event.

Tech to Start
If you opt to have a technician start your event, the technician will provide basic set up of your technology at the beginning of your event and shut everything down at the end. This service is included with in-room technology usage fees. If your group/event is exempt from the in-room technology usage fees and you require start up assistance, a set-up fee will be assessed.

Tech to Stay
If you opt to have a technician stay with your event, the technician will set up your technology and remain accessible in the room for the duration of your event.

There is an hourly rate assessed with a five hour billable minimum for this service. Rates may vary during peak/non-peak times. For details on technician rates, please refer to Public Technology’s Services and Rates. Upon request of a technician to stay for your event via an online request, we also require a written (email) confirmation of your request once we have secured a technician for you. This ensures the event organizer’s responsibility for any costs incurred in the event of a last minute cancellation.
