Policy GuidelinesTechnology usage and technician assistance requests, regardless of whether fees are applicable, should be reserved by making an online request. Wharton faculty may directly make an online request, but they are encouraged to work with their Academic Computing Representatives who will facilitate their technology requests.
Please submit technology requests as far in advance as possible, but allow a minimum of two business days prior to your scheduled event for processing the request. Last minute requests are subject to equipment and/or technician availability. Although we process requests as quickly as our system resources allow, because we need to factor in other considerations such as number of requests during peak time and staff absences, we cannot guarantee requests submitted in less than two business days.
When a request has been submitted, you will receive an automated notification from Public Technology with a link to your submitted request . Your request will be reviewed within two business days. Requests submitted after 5:00pm from Mondays through Thursdays are treated as if they are submitted the following business day. Requests submitted Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays cannot be executed until the following Wednesday. Our online form uses the server time which may or may not be the same as the time reflected on your computer’s display. |
