Policy GuidelinesAudioconferencing systems are part of the installed equipment available as in-room technology in all Huntsman Hall rooms and Steinberg-Dietrich Hall rooms 3501, 351, 1203, 1206 and 1201, with the exception of Labs and Group Study Rooms. These rooms have audio conferencing systems installed; there is not a physical telephone in any of the rooms or an active jack to connect a physical phone. To audioconference in rooms without installed equipment, you need to submit an online request for an equipment loan of a conference phone. For details on in-room equipment, please refer to Wharton Complex Room Descriptions. Our classrooms and conference rooms require the use of a TRAC (Traveling Authorization Code) to dial out from an audioconference. If one cannot be obtained by a fellow department member, you can request one by contacting ISC’s Telecommunications group at 215-898-4840 or by submitting an email to service-requests@isc.upenn.edu with the following information (Name and Penn ID of Responsible Party, Department Name, 26-digit budget code, and Date/Time service is needed). You will receive an email confirmation for your request along with the necessary instructions. All classroom audioconference systems are set to campus dial only; therefore you will need to have an authorization (TRAC) code even to dial out to a toll-free number. If the remote party will be dialing in, please contact Public Technology via email so that we can provide you with appropriate dial-in phone number for the room of your audioconference. Be sure to confirm the assigned room in your request. |
