About In-room Technology

Technology residing in the classrooms is available to all faculty, staff and students with a valid Wharton username and password. There are fees associated with all events with the exception of classes. Some Multimedia fees still apply.

If you have questions or are unsure about how to use the technology, please submit an online request for training on the various features available in the classrooms. Please be sure to indicate which functions you are most interested in learning about. Faculty may also contact their Academic Distributed Representative for training.

Please review our Wharton Complex Room Descriptions for a brief description and layout details.

Microphones
A lectern microphone and one wireless lavalier microphone are part of the installed equipment available as in-room technology in Wharton Complex rooms. A microphone is needed for voice reinforcement if your voice is naturally soft or if you are in a large space. Microphones are rarely needed in the flat floor rooms unless speakers are getting recorded . These microphones provide the best quality audio for an audio or video recording.

Media Playback
Media playback of CDs or DVDs is available via the in-room installed PCs. A Wharton logon is required and there may be in-room technology charges associated with playback of this media. VHS tape playback is available via the in-room VHS decks.
